This 1990 Porsche Carrera 4 coupe was modified by Throtl of San Diego, California, in the early 2020s, including a repaint in light blue metallic along with the installation of fender flares, Turbo-style bumpers, and a 993 Club Sport-style rear wing. The 3.6-liter flat-six was fitted with an aftermarket turbocharger and intercooler by Protomotive, and 18″ multi-piece Braid wheels were installed along with Silvers NEOMAX adjustable coilovers and a custom exhaust system. The cabin was stripped of its sound deadening material and outfitted with dual Sparco fixed-back racing seats, multi-point harnesses, a roll bar, a Carbontastic steering wheel, and a Pioneer CD stereo with Kicker speakers. A boost controller and replacement turbocharger were installed in 2025, and additional work involved repairing the throttle body and replacing the fuel pump, ignition components, fuel injectors, front sway bar links, and battery. Recently acquired by the current owner, this modified 964 is now offered on dealer consignment at no reserve in Newport Beach, California, with a clean Florida title. Finished from the factory in Linen Grey Metallic, the car was repainted light blue metallic and modified with wide bodywork, including bolt-on fender flares, side skirts, and Turbo-style bumper covers. A multi-element rear wing with carbon fiber end plates was added along with 9Eleven headlights, LED taillights, clear front turn signal lenses, front brake ducts, and ventilated rear quarter acrylic windows. Porsche graphics adorn the windshield and both sides, and further exterior details include a Euro-style front license plate, a sunroof, Turbo 3.6 badging, and a single exhaust outlet. The right taillight lens is cracked, and imperfections in the finish are shown in the gallery below. The Carfax report lists an accident in June 2003. The custom 18″ Braid multi-piece wheels feature Anthracite-finished centers with polished barrels and are mounted with staggered Falken Azenis tires. Suspension modifications consist of Silvers NEOMAX adjustable coilovers, an RSR-style two-piece strut bar, and Rennline RS-style spring plates. Braking is handled by four-wheel ventilated discs with ABS. The front sway bar links were replaced in 2025. The cabin was stripped of its sound deadening material and outfitted with a pair of Sparco fixed-back bucket seats trimmed in black fabric and equipped with multi-point harnesses. A bolt-in roll bar was installed along with a Rennline RS-style carpet kit, drilled Rennline floorboards, and Turbo-style sill covers. The dash was re-covered in Alcantara, and additional modifications include a short shifter with a Balsa wood shift knob, a Pioneer CD stereo, Kicker speakers, and custom RS-style door panels. The driver’s door pull is not secured. A Carbontastic steering wheel fronts VDO gauges that have been outfitted with Rennline aluminum bezels. Instrumentation includes a blue-dial 7,600-rpm tachometer along with a 180-mph speedometer, a clock, and a pair of combination gauges. Gauges monitoring boost and air/fuel ratio have been installed ahead of the shifter. The six-digit odometer shows 20k miles, and a mileage inconsistency is noted in a March 2025 entry. Total mileage is unknown. The 3.6-liter M64 flat-six was modified by Protomotive of Harrison, Arkansas, with their turbocharger kit and intercooler during the build. Work completed in March 2024 involved resealing the front crankcase and replacing the timing cover gaskets, while a replacement turbocharger and a boost controller were installed in January 2025. Additional work involved dyno tuning, an ECU upgrade, a repair of the knock sensor harness, and installation of Bosch Double Fire ignition coils and a distributor block-off plug as well as replacement of the fuel pump and relay, fuel pressure regulator, fuel injectors, spark plugs, and battery. Power is sent to all four-wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle. A custom exhaust system was installed during the build, and the clutch and flywheel were replaced in December 2023. The Carfax report lists a sideswipe collision with another motor vehicle in June 2003 along with the aforementioned mileage inconsistency. The car has not passed a California emissions test.
