This 1970 Porsche 914-6 was delivered new to Belgium and was modified to M471 GT specification by Belgian car dealer Antwerpse Automobile Company in 1975 with steel fender flares, chassis reinforcements, and wider 15″ Fuchs wheels. The car was acquired in 2020 by its current owner, automotive designer Luc Donckerwolke, who was responsible for such designs as the Lamborghini Diablo VT 6.0, Murciélago, and Gallardo and currently serves as the designer, president, and chief creative officer of Hyundai Motor Group and Genesis. It was subsequently rebuilt and modified by RUF in Pfaffenhausen, Germany, including a repaint in Grand Prix White, an upgraded brake system and oil cooling system, and the addition of fiberglass lids and bumpers, a front fuel filler, a Friedrich Motorsport exhaust, a Heigo roll cage, and Recaro seats. The flat-six was overhauled, fitted with twin-plug cylinder heads, and increased in displacement to 2.4-liters during the work, and a lightweight flywheel and replacement clutch were also installed. This 914-6 is now offered on dealer consignment with a Porsche certificate, the owner’s manual, service records, and German registration. Finished from the factory in Lemon Yellow and repainted Grand Prix White under prior ownership, the car was modified with GT steel fender flares and chassis reinforcements by Antwerpse Automobile Company in 1975. The build by RUF involved the installation of a fiberglass hood and decklid, fiberglass bumpers, fiberglass rockers, and a central fuel filler. Additional equipment includes a black removable targa top, black sail panels, fog lights, rubber decklid latches, hood pins, and a cowl-mounted battery cutoff. The black-finished 15″ Fuchs alloy wheels measure 8″ wide up front and 9″ in width out back, and they are mounted with Michelin TB15 tires. The brake pads and rotors were replaced and RSR calipers and a balance bar were installed by RUF. Additional work included replacing the control arms, installing 5mm brake lines, and refurbishing the wheels. The cabin was stripped and fitted with black vinyl Recaro seats with Willans harnesses during the build. A padded Heigo roll cage was added and the lower dash has been covered in Alcantara. A centrally-mounted handbrake, HKZ 8-pin ignition control units, and a battery cutoff are housed between the seats. The three-spoke MOMO Prototipo steering wheel frames overhauled VDO instrumentation including a central 10k-rpm tachometer, a 250-km/h speedometer, and a combination oil temperature and pressure gauge. An auxiliary fuel level gauge has been added to the right of the heater controls. The five-digit odometer was reset to zero during the refurbishment and shows 321 kilometers. The flat-six was rebuilt and increased in displacement to 2.4-liters by RUF using 87.5mm Mahle pistons and cylinders. Twin-plug ignition was also added in addition to a Monte Carlo-style oil cooling system, a Friedrich Motorsport stainless-steel exhaust system, and gold-chromatized velocity stacks on the dual Weber triple barrel carburetors. Power is routed to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential. The clutch was replaced and a lightweight flywheel installed by RUF. The Porsche certificate lists the factory colors and serial numbers. The vehicle is being sold on its German registration, which serves as an ownership document in Germany. Filed under: 914, 914/6
