This 1986 Porsche 911 Turbo coupe is a rest-of-world example that was reportedly delivered new to DP Motorsport for 935-style modifications before being imported to the US in 1985 and purchased in 2008 by NFL Hall of Fame member Paul Krause. The car was acquired by the seller shortly after being listed on BaT in November 2024, and subsequent work consisted of addressing oil leaks, tuning the engine, and changing the fluids as well as repairing the lighting, refurbishing the 15″ BBS wheels, and replacing the sunroof seal, tires, and more. Finished in Indischrot over a tan and brown interior, the car is powered by a turbocharged 3.3-liter flat-six paired with a four-speed manual transaxle, both of which were rebuilt under prior ownership. Equipment includes flared fenders, pop-up headlights, ducted and vented spoilers, cross-drilled brake rotors, a sunroof, and fog lights along with heated power-adjustable front seats, air conditioning, a Personal steering wheel, a WEVO shifter, and a JVC CD stereo. Showing 55k miles, this DP 935 is offered with an owner’s manual, a service record, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Minnesota title in the seller’s name. DP, or Design + Plastics, was founded in 1973 by Ekkehard Zimmerman and later began building competition Porsches for Kremer Racing, including the 1979 24 Hours of Le Mans-winning K3. During that period, DP also introduced its own 935-inspired interpretation of production 911s with the DP 935 I and later the DP 935 II. This example is said to have been initially delivered to DP, where it received slant-nose bodywork with pop-up headlights, fog lights, and oil-cooler exhaust ducts in the leading edge of the hood as well as vented fenders, front and rear spoilers, revised side skirts, and flush-mount side mirrors. The car is finished in Indischrot (G1), and exterior details include a sunroof, a rear window wiper, tinted windows, and rear bumper overriders. The finish is said to have been buffed under current ownership and treated with a sealant, and additional work has included tightening the left fog light, repairing the right taillight, and replacing the right fog light along with the high-beam switch and the sunroof seal. Modular 15″ BBS wheels with gold-finished centers were refurbished under current ownership and fitted with 225/50 front and 345/35 Pirelli P Zero Asimmetrico tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel cross-drilled and ventilated discs, and the fluid was flushed in 2025. The heated and power-adjustable front sport seats are upholstered in tan leather, and the door panels and folding rear seats are trimmed to match. Darker-brown upholstery covers the lower dashboard and center console, and additional appointments include air conditioning, power windows, a WEVO shifter, a JVC CD stereo, an Alpine security system, a rear window defroster, and a boost-adjuster knob between the front seats. The right-side window switch was replaced in 2025. The Personal Fittipaldi steering wheel frames a DP-branded 10k-rpm tachometer and 200-mph speedometer as well as gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, oil level, fuel level, and boost pressure. The six-digit odometer shows 55k miles, approximately 200 of which were added under current ownership. The turbocharged 3.3-liter flat-six was reportedly assembled and modified by Kremer Racing shortly after initial delivery with ported and polished cylinder heads, a K27 turbocharger, adjustable boost, a larger intercooler, and higher-capacity oiling and fueling systems. The engine was rebuilt in August 2020 using replacement cylinders, pistons, bearings, gaskets, and oil lines. The turbocharger and wastegate were also rebuilt, the cylinder heads were machined, and the crankshaft was repaired and reground. The fuel distributor was resealed, and additional replaced components include the oil pump, charcoal canister, spark plugs, ignition wires, and distributor cap and rotor. A replacement battery was fitted in 2024, and engine-out service in 2025 included adjusting the valves, ignition timing, idle speed, and CO setting as well as replacing the following components: Fuel supply and return hoses Front main seal Intermediate-shaft cover seal Breather-flange seal Breather hose Air and fuel filters Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Type 930/36 four-speed manual transaxle that was rebuilt in 2009, and a replacement clutch kit was installed and the flywheel was resurfaced at that time. Service in 2025 included changing the transmission fluid and replacing the throttle linkage pivot pin in the side of the gearbox. An aftermarket muffler is in place, and the exhaust system received welded repairs in 2020. An owner’s manual will accompany the vehicle. The Carfax report is free of accident or damage entries.
