This 1990 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 coupe was modified by Singer Vehicle Design for its current owner, and it was completed in April 2024. The “It Was All a Dream” commission specified paint-to-sample Bright Purple Light Pearl with ghosted stripes, and it was optioned with a 4.0-liter flat-six linked with a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The car rides on 17″ Fuchs-style forged alloy wheels with Öhlins two-way adjustable coilovers and Brembo disc brakes with carbon-ceramic rotors. Multi-color woven upholstery and bronze-plated accents were selected for the interior, which offers a leather-wrapped roll bar, a MOMO steering wheel, custom gauges, air conditioning, and a Porsche Classic head unit with navigation. This reimagined 964 has 316 miles and is offered in California on dealer consignment with a build sheet, a damage-free Carfax report, and a clean Montana title in the name of the owner’s LLC. Based in Los Angeles, Singer Vehicle Design was founded in 2009 by former Catherine Wheel frontman Rob Dickinson and has since specialized in performance-based customizations of 964-series 911s. Each car is stripped to its steel unibody, which receives welding reinforcements before being fitted with carbon-fiber panels, including the fenders, bumpers, front hood, and rear decklid. Non-sunroof coupes, such as this example, are also fitted with a carbon-fiber roof panel. The front spoiler, lower rear valance, and lower rocker panels are composed of black textured urethane. This car is finished in paint-to-sample Bright Purple Light Pearl with ghosted side stripes and a gold Porsche hood crest. Exterior options include an external oil filler cap on the right-rear quarter panel, nickel-plated rear bumperettes, and bronze-plated decklid badging. A retractable rear spoiler with a tinted acrylic screen beneath the grille, bullet-style side mirrors that anchor through the vent windows, and bi-xenon headlights with polycarbonate front lenses are among the other highlights. Paint protection film has been applied to the body. Fuchs-style 17″ forged alloy wheels are secured with open lug nuts and wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. The car rides on Öhlins two-way adjustable coilovers, and braking is handled by cream-finished Brembo calipers with carbon-ceramic rotors. The cabin is trimmed in Dove leather with a bespoke multi-color weave pattern that extends to the dashboard, seat inserts, door panels, rear bulkhead, and removable rear seat cushions. Dove leather also covers the roll hoop, and the dash pad and door caps are trimmed in plum upholstery. Carbon-fiber front seats have bronze-plated ventilation grommets, and a raw black walnut shifter knob was installed along with bound squareweave carpets, drilled floorboards and pedals, a perforated headliner, a fire extinguisher, and a bronze-plated Singer dash emblem. Amenities include air conditioning, power windows, and a Porsche Classic radio with navigation linked with an Audison amplifier and a Dynaudio subwoofer and speakers. The MOMO steering wheel has a centering stripe and sits ahead of a clocked tachometer with a “Be Bop A Lula” print on the dial. It is flanked by a 190-mph speedometer, a clock, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer indicates 316 miles, which represents the distance driven since the build was completed. The carbon-fiber hood features a pass-through for the fuel filler cap, and a body-color strut tower brace has been installed along with a safety fuel cell. Diamond-patterned stitching accents the marine-grade trunk upholstery. The air-cooled, naturally aspirated flat-six was rebuilt to a displacement of 4.0 liters, and it is equipped with high-lift camshafts, an Emtron ECU, and a ceramic-coated intake plenum. Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential. The exhaust system has been ceramic-coated in grey and has twin central outlets. The build sheet lists a revision date of April 8, 2024, and a total cost of $828,650. The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists a mileage inconsistency in 2021. The vehicle has not been inspected by the California Bureau of Automotive Repair and has not passed a California emissions test.
