This US-market 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera coupe was exported to Europe in 2013 and was fitted with an RSR-style front bumper and fender flares before being rebuilt by RUF’s Pfaffenhausen workshop. The build was completed in 2018 and involved additional body work, including the installation of a retractable 964-specification rear spoiler, a custom rear bumper, and an integrated roll cage. Dubbed “Goldfinger,” the car was repainted in Lime Gold Metallic, while the interior was re-trimmed in dark brown water buffalo leather and houndstooth cloth. The M930/25 flat-six was enlarged to 3.4 liters, and the suspension and brake systems were overhauled with RUF-tuned dampers and CTR-specification disc brakes. It rides on staggered 17″ Fuchs-style wheels and is further equipped with a G50 five-speed manual transaxle, a sunroof, LED lighting, rear parking sensors, heated carbon-fiber bucket seats, and a Bluetooth-capable stereo with navigation. The car was brought back to the US in the 2020s and it was purchased by the selling dealer in 2026. This RUF-modified Carrera coupe is now offered in Costa Mesa, California, with build photos, a RUF Zertifikat, and a clean Michigan title. Fender flares and an RSR-style front bumper with an oil cooler opening and brake-cooling inlets were installed some time ago, while modifications carried out by RUF as part of the project involved deleting the rain gutters and installing LED lighting, a retractable 964-specification rear spoiler, and a custom rear spoiler with parking sensors. Additional bodywork was carried out at that time, followed by a repaint in Lime Gold Metallic. A sunroof and a “Goldfinger” decklid badge are further appointments. Custom 17″ Fuchs-style wheels measure 9″ wide up front and 10″ wide out back, and they are mounted with Toyo Proxes tires. The suspension was modified as part of the project with RUF-tuned dampers, and RUF CTR large-diameter drilled and ventilated disc brakes with adjustable brake balance were also added. The cabin houses carbon-fiber heated front bucket seats trimmed in dark brown water buffalo leather with houndstooth cloth inserts. Yellow contrast stitching extends to the color-coordinated dash, center console, lightweight door panels, floor mats, and rear compartment. A storage compartment has been added in lieu of the rear seats and the ceiling wears a perforated Alcantara headliner. Additional components from RUF include an integrated roll cage, “Goldfinger” door sill covers, yellow door pulls, aluminum pedals, air conditioning, and a Bluetooth-capable stereo with navigation. The leather-wrapped Sport steering wheel features a RUF badge on the horn and a yellow centering stripe. RUF-branded VDO instrumentation includes a central 8k-rpm tachometer, a 300-km/h speedometer, a clock, and combination gauges. The six-digit odometer shows 4,900 kilometers (~3k miles), which is said to reflect the distance traveled since completion of the build. The M930/25 flat-six was enlarged to 3.4 liters by RUF, who quoted output at approximately 250 horsepower and 218 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a G50 five-speed manual transaxle, and an uprated clutch was installed during the build. The RUF Zertifikat lists colors, equipment, and options. A selection of photos taken during various stages of the build are presented in the gallery below. The US VINs on the car have been removed, and the car is titled using chassis stamping WP0ZZZ91ZHS120114. The Carfax report for the US VIN sequence is free of any accidents or other reported damage. A secondary Carfax report for the RoW VIN sequence is shown in the gallery below. The car has not passed a California emissions test.
