This 1965 Porsche 912 coupe is powered by a 1,720cc flat-four paired with a five-speed manual transaxle and has been modified with driving lights, black cloth Recaro seats with harnesses, a MOMO steering wheel, a JWest Engineering shifter, and a machine-finished Rennline dashboard fascia. It is finished in red with black Porsche side graphics and white roundels and was previously sold on BaT in September 2023. This 912 was acquired by the selling dealer in 2026 and is now offered at no reserve in California with a Porsche Production Specifications certificate and a clean Florida title. Originally finished in Ruby Red, the car was repainted matte red approximately 14 years ago. Exterior details include white roundels on the hood, doors, and decklid in addition to leather hood retaining straps, hood-mounted Cibie driving lights, a Corsair blind-spot mirror, chrome-finished rear bumperettes, and quad exhaust outlets. The right quarter panel was repaired under prior ownership, and evidence of bodywork is evident in the front trunk. There is a dent in the front bumper and cracks in the paint, and additional blemishes can be viewed in the gallery below. Slotted 15″ chrome wheels wear 185/70 Pirelli Cinturato CN36 tires. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs with red front calipers. The interior features black cloth Recaro SE bucket seats, Schroth four-point harnesses, Coco floor mats, a JWest Engineering RennShift shifter, and a machine-finished Rennline dashboard fascia. The four-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of green-script VDO instrumentation including a centrally mounted 7k-rpm tachometer flanked by a 120-mph speedometer and a combination gauge for fuel level and oil temperature. The speedometer is broken and the five-digit odometer shows 22k miles. Total mileage is unknown. The air-cooled flat-four was reportedly built to 1,720cc under prior ownership and features dual Solex carburetors as well as Bosch ignition components. An oil leak was noted in the last auction. Power is routed to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle. An aftermarket exhaust system was installed under previous ownership. Rust is noted on the left-front floor pan. The Porsche Production Specifications certificate shows the build date and the original colors and equipment. The Florida title carries a “PA-antique-Over 50 YRS Old” notation under “Other Jurisdiction Brands”.
